Zonlet

Free barcode generator

Generate print-ready barcodes for products, inventory, shipping and labels. Zonlet supports Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, EAN-8 and UPC-A, with optional captions and bulk generation from CSV or Excel.

Which barcode type should I use?

Use EAN-13 or UPC-A for retail products sold in stores (EAN-13 is standard worldwide, UPC-A in the US and Canada). EAN-8 is a shorter version for small packaging. Code 128 is the most flexible choice for shipping labels, inventory and internal use because it encodes letters, numbers and symbols compactly. Code 39 is common in older industrial and government systems.

Bulk barcode generator from Excel

Printing labels for a whole product range? Download the template, paste your codes into Excel or Google Sheets, and upload it. Zonlet creates every barcode at once and exports a ZIP of images or a printable PDF.

Sharp barcodes for scanning

Export as SVG for crisp vector printing at any size, or PNG for documents and labels. Clean, high-contrast barcodes scan reliably with handheld scanners and phone cameras.

Frequently asked questions

Is the barcode generator free?

Yes, and you do not need to sign up. Generate and download barcodes and small batches without an account. A free Google sign-in unlocks batches of up to 100 rows and your export history on the dashboard.

What is the difference between EAN-13 and UPC-A?

Both are retail product barcodes. UPC-A has 12 digits and is mainly used in the US and Canada; EAN-13 has 13 digits and is used worldwide. Most modern scanners read both.

Can I use these barcodes on products sold in stores?

You can generate the barcode image here, but retail stores usually require a registered product number from GS1. Enter your GS1-assigned number and Zonlet creates the barcode.

Can I generate barcodes in bulk?

Yes. Use batch mode with the CSV/Excel template to create many barcodes at once and download them as a ZIP or a printable PDF. You can batch 10 rows without an account, or up to 100 rows at a time with a free account.
